STAND UP and be COUNTED

Joy is a flag flown high when I choose to dance on injustice!

I applaud a nation whose leader has back bone. He stands tall against popular opinion. " Like an oak of righteous," he is truly planted in the LORD!

We need to STAND UP and be COUNTED. A VOICE for the VOICELESS.

So many times under pressure from a client I have wanted to acquiesce to their demands. I always give several directions to go. Their taste must reflect their space. To stand up to my "gut" design decisions is often a risk.
Visual interpretation must be transferred. I cannot speak in a foreign language. The design direction is conveyed when they "see" where we are headed and are at ease. When I know their decisions violate one of the 5 elements of design I speak up.
A client puts their trust in my professional decisions and good taste. My role is defined by the people I hire to execute the project. I cannot rely on the "next door neighbor's" taste to influence my client. I must foresee the bigger picture. Satisfied clients become my best friends. Even when I have executed "tough love".
A ROAD MAP to PEACE comes when the barriers are moved. Confidence in the designer results when I lead . They listen.

NETANYAHU has won my vote. Israel should be proud of a leader who leads. We cannot deny that history does repeat itself. I am an advocate for Israel. History tells us we cannot afford not to STAND UP and BE COUNTED. Next time it could be me in harms way.

Compassion drives me to support local organizations that believe we can never forget! I am on local Phoenix committees that share these views. I work with Canaan in the Desert and CUFI.

You can learn more from www.kanaan.org about a film project. We are most excited to show it at the Scottsdale JCC on Oct.12. The title tells the story of our hearts "CHANGING THE FUTURE BY CONFRONTING THE PAST". We also are very excited about our NIGHT to HONOR ISRAEL at SYMPHONY HALL. Check out AZCUFI.ORG. to learn more. At this venue we are so thrilled to have a live dramatization of "Corrie,"a "righteous gentile". We need more in this world of HATE.
Please take a moment to listen again to the words in this clip.

Thank you PM NETANYAHU for VOICING loud and clear my heart!

Delighted to see at least one elected leader willing to stand up to the wimps at the United Nations who sat still for the Holocaust-denying lunatic from Iran. Although when I first heard the audio tape of Netanyahu asking, "Have you no shame?"e; I thought he was referring to Tom Delay and his appearance on "Dancing with the Stars."

Peace parallels "composure" when I triumph over a "wrong" slung my way!

This is a wonderful blog you might like to read.

New Begining

We celebrated the Jewish New Year 5770 this past Sept.18. We get to start over. A new beginning to restore hope and build character with the KING! This is a time to start seeing things differently. It is a time to take inventory of our hearts and see where we are going. I like to use this time to check out what is on the inside of "my space". Motives move me in a certain direction. Where I place them affects the view. The room gets congested when I crowd everything in a corner. Where I place accessories like regret highlight features in my room.
Will I disguise guilt and make everyone feel responsible for my mistakes? Past mistakes limit my ability to see clearly. A room can always shift direction by moving furniture. When pride surfaces, pain hides. I always know when I have a glaring piece of furniture staring at me. It is easy to move furniture. The hard part is to know proper placement.
I have been thinking about all the missed opportunities. We can never think it is too late to re-arrange our view. I am still praying that we will understand how to face our future in the LIGHT of day. I have had to make things right. This next week may we keep Israel in view. We must stand by the covenant given to Abraham. Many Americans do not think it necessary to see this way. There is too much noise in the room. We must be still and know that He is G-D and listen to HIS VOICE. Let us pray for our President for September 25 regarding the LAND. We should not be so quick to throw out all the furniture.
Decisions I have made based on presumption instead of a sure word cost me. Gain for approval by man always rates lower than expected. Just because I want to be accepted does not assure popularity.
New beginnings start when I change my view. A world view changes when it gets G-D'S view. May we really take time to SEE what is at stake. Shalom

Persistence of Vision

Rooms like real life present challenges. How we face them tells the story. So often I am sure ROOMS want to talk. The chairs we sit in listen to our conversations. We loose sight of our design when we are stuck. Frustrations and dreams get lost when we get stuck and loose sight. Vision must remain fresh. To keep the project moving constant excitement about the room must be felt. I must see where it is going.
I found this wonderful example of why it is imperative to keep our vision. This tells how vision is used in filmmaking. My daughter Joy attended a film workshop. This was from the workbook by Jonathan Nixon. He formed Point of View Films in 1968. The wisdom he shares is noteworthy for all life challenges. We will learn to see our room take VIEW. Persistence pays off.
"Persistence of vision is the phenomenon within the eye by which an afterimage is thought to persist for approximately one twenty-fifth of a second on the retina, supposedly to compensate for the blackout that would be experienced otherwise through blinking. The theory was invoked to explain how the perception of apparent motion in film created the illusion of moving pictures. When you look at a series of still images flashed before your eyes, you have the perception that the image is moving.
Just as persistence of vision is a physical law of image creation, persistence of vision can also be a spiritual law used in media creation. The reason a series of still images are perceived as a moving image, is because the image persists on our retina. In the same way that our retina works to bring a series of still images to life, our persistence in faith operates to bring to life what we envision. If we will persist in faith and in the vision that God has given us, God is faithful to fulfill that vision."
